We need to put life into this guild.

Here's what I need:

  • People willing to help
  • Those people signed up on this website
  • Communication between these members
  • Ideas on how we can get this guild started towards being a top-10 guild
  • People able to post news and make updates to the site

This is just a small list but it will get us started. Communication is a MUST and volunteers are needed. I can't guarantee guild promotions for helping me out with this as I am not able to promote people, but I do know that Cher likes people to be active and help out, and if this works out it may be one of the biggest helps to the guild yet.

Here's some info I ran across to get us started:

Post back here please! Get people to join please! Help me cross things off the above list!

What we need to figure out as a whole to become the guild we could be:

  • What type of guild are we? Are we a social guild? Raiding guild? PvP guild? So far it seems as if we are a social guild. This will help us figure out everything else to come in my list of suggestions.
  • What is expected of members? We need to set up some kind of rulebook or guidelines for guildies based on the type of guild we determine ourselves to be. This will include code of conduct, punishments and rewards and so on.
  • What about ranks and promotions? Though the current ranking system is fine, if we wish to grow we may need to rethink it. As a social guild we'll need to go through our members and see not only how they have helped out the guild but how well they handle administrative situations such as rules and conduct. This will be used to judge promotions and demotions. With a clearly defined ranking system with ranks being respected by guildies we can successfully administer the guild. I'm not saying make it a complete dictatorship with newbies being in fear of the higher-ranks, but for people to at least notice the ranks mean something.
  • Clear communication is essential. Without clear communication between guild members, organization and growth is not possible. I know I may be tooting my own horn and I may also sound like a broken record, but a guild website, THIS guild website can be a vital tool to accomplish this. With newsletters, a calendar, forums and private messages we can handle all of the guild communication easily in one place. I would also like to make guildies aware of our voice channel in WoW. Not only will it help communication but it may encourage people to get more involved in talking with the guild members as well as make new members feel more comfortable.

This is just a start and these are just suggestions/ideas and I would appreciate any feedback. Please no flaming, just constructive criticism.
